Double ka Meetha is a delicious Hyderabadi dessert that is popularly made on the day of Eid. Ingredients

For the Sugar Syrup

  • 150 ml sugar powder
  • 200 ml water
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1/2 tsp rose essence

For Double ka Meetha

  • 4 bread pieces
  • Ghee/refined oil
  • Sugar syrup
  • Crushed almonds

Directions

  • Put sugar and water in another bowl and set the flame to low until it dissolves properly(10-15 minutes).



  • From time to time, Stir this mixture and add rose essence and cardamom powder and switch off the gas.
  • It's ready, keep aside, and make bread items.
  • Firstly, remove the bread corner. Cut the bread slices into any shape and keep them aside for 8-10 hours without cover.


  • If it is dry and hard, dessert will make crunchy and yummy.


  • Heat oil in a pan, when oil is hot, set the gas on medium flame. fry the bread pieces for about 1 minute, flip and fry to both sides. keep on the paper towel.





  • Dip the fried bread pieces into the sugar syrup for about 1 minute, flip and again dip for 1 minute. sugar syrup should light warm.


  • Spread crushed almond on the top of the bread pieces and ready to eat.
