It is prepared with bread, which derives its name from ‘Double Roti’, a term used for bread during the British era. Ingredients
For the Sugar Syrup
- 150 ml sugar powder
- 200 ml water
- 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
- 1/2 tsp rose essence
For Double ka Meetha
- 4 bread pieces
- Ghee/refined oil
- Sugar syrup
- Crushed almonds
Directions
- Put sugar and water in another bowl and set the flame to low until it dissolves properly(10-15 minutes).
- From time to time, Stir this mixture and add rose essence and cardamom powder and switch off the gas.
- It's ready, keep aside, and make bread items.
- Firstly, remove the bread corner. Cut the bread slices into any shape and keep them aside for 8-10 hours without cover.
- Heat oil in a pan, when oil is hot, set the gas on medium flame. fry the bread pieces for about 1 minute, flip and fry to both sides. keep on the paper towel.
